Hello! Not only do we love cutting hair and meeting all our clients, we also love working along side and promoting other indie businesses. Which is why Tenement doubles up as a space for other small businesses wanting to hold pop up events whenever we aren't using it. 

​

Tenement was set up in April 2021 by us, Chris & Becky. We live in southside with our toddler Stella, and we had been wanting to do this for some time. Our pipe dream was to have a space that works for both of the things we love doing.  Becky was already running her plant & flower shop online, so we decided to open a barbershop that would be able to house the plant shop on a pop up basis for occasional events, and as well be used by all the other incredible small and creative businesses we love in Glasgow. The name Tenement sprung from the idea that the iconic tenement buildings we all love in Scotland's urban areas are home to many different people and that's what we want Tenement to be within our community - home to many!
